Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to Status Saver – Save & Share (“Status Saver”, “the App”, “we”, “our” or “us”), developed by Muneeb Dev.

Status Saver is designed primarily as an on-device Android utility for viewing, saving, organizing, sharing and protecting status photos and videos from folders that you explicitly authorize.

The App does not operate its own user-account system and does not require you to sign in to WhatsApp through Status Saver.

Local Media & Folder Access

Status Saver uses Android's Storage Access Framework to allow you to choose supported WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business status folders.

The folder-selection interface is provided by Android. Status Saver receives access only to folders or files that you explicitly authorize.

• Status Saver does not require unrestricted “All Files Access”.
• The App does not require MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE.
• WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business folders can be authorized separately.
• Status photos and videos are processed locally for supported App features.
• Status Saver does not require access to your WhatsApp chat database for its core status-saving features.

Saved Media & Favorites

When you choose to save supported status media, Status Saver may create a separate copy using Android storage mechanisms such as MediaStore.

Saving a status does not intentionally modify or delete the original source status.

Favorites are local App records that help you organize media inside Status Saver. Favouriting an item alone does not necessarily create an additional gallery copy.

Private Vault

Status Saver includes an optional Private Vault feature for media you choose to protect.

Vault media is stored in app-private storage and encrypted using Android platform security and Android Keystore-backed cryptographic protection.

When you preview or share Vault media, temporary decrypted files may be created in restricted App cache storage for the minimum period needed to provide that feature.

Temporary Vault preview/share files may be deleted automatically or when eligible cache data is cleared.

App Lock, PIN & Biometrics

If you enable App Lock, Status Saver allows you to configure a six-digit PIN.

The App is designed to store a protected verification value rather than directly storing the plain-text PIN.

Where supported and enabled, fingerprint or face authentication may be used as an alternative unlock method.

Biometric authentication is processed by Android's system biometric services. Status Saver does not receive or store your raw fingerprint, face scan or biometric template.

Notifications

If you enable or permit notifications, Status Saver may use Android notification services to provide status-related alerts or App information.

On Android versions requiring runtime notification permission, the App asks for permission before sending eligible notifications.

Notification permission can be changed at any time through Android Settings.

Advertising & Consent

The free version of Status Saver may display advertising using Google AdMob.

Google and its advertising partners may process information necessary for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, security and, where legally permitted and consented to, advertising personalization.

Such information may include, depending on device, region and consent status:

• Device or advertising identifiers.
• Internet Protocol (IP) address.
• Approximate location derived from technical information such as IP address.
• App and device information.
• Advertising interactions.
• Diagnostic, fraud-prevention and security-related information.

Google User Messaging Platform

Where required, Status Saver uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain or manage advertising consent before eligible advertising requests are made.

Available consent and privacy options may vary by country, regulatory region and Google's requirements.

Where UMP indicates that a privacy-options entry point is required, Status Saver provides a Privacy Choices option inside the App.

Premium / Remove Ads Purchase

Status Saver may offer a one-time “Remove Ads” purchase through Google Play Billing.

Payment processing is handled by Google Play. Muneeb Dev does not receive or store your complete payment-card details through Status Saver.

Purchase and entitlement information may be obtained from Google Play to determine whether the Remove Ads entitlement should be active.

Eligible purchases may also be restored through Google Play where supported.

Third-Party Services

Status Saver may integrate third-party services where required for specific features.

• Google AdMob for advertising.
• Google User Messaging Platform for privacy and consent management.
• Google Play Billing for Premium purchases.
• Android platform services for storage, biometrics, notifications and sharing.

Information processed by these third parties is subject to their applicable terms, privacy policies and legal obligations.

Data Retention & Deletion

Most Status Saver application information is stored locally on your device.

Local settings, Favorites, viewing state, App Lock configuration, saved references, cache data and Private Vault information may remain until you delete the relevant content, clear App data or uninstall Status Saver.

Cached temporary files may be removed automatically or through available App storage-management controls.

Status Saver currently does not operate its own user-account backend, so there is no separate Status Saver cloud account that must be deleted.

Your Privacy Choices

• Change or revoke folder access.
• Disable notifications through Android Settings.
• Disable biometric unlock inside Status Saver.
• Remove App Lock where available.
• Delete saved media.
• Remove items from Private Vault.
• Clear eligible temporary cache files.
• Review advertising privacy choices where Google UMP makes those choices available.

Children's Privacy

Status Saver does not operate an App-owned account system intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.

Advertising and related services may additionally be subject to Google Play, AdMob and applicable regional age and consent requirements.

Security Practices

Status Saver uses Android platform security features and local encryption for supported security functions.

Measures include Android Keystore-backed cryptography for Private Vault and system-provided biometric authentication where enabled.

Private Vault screens may also use Android's secure-window functionality to restrict screenshots and screen capture where supported.

No software, electronic storage or security system can guarantee absolute protection.

It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or officially associated with WhatsApp LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc. or their affiliates.

WhatsApp, Meta and related names, logos and trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

Users are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate rights or permission before saving, reproducing, distributing or sharing another person's media.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Status Saver's functionality, third-party services, legal requirements or data-handling practices change.

When this policy is updated, the revised effective date will be displayed on this page.
